All the necessary safety equipment is provided, and we even offer ski touring gear rentals if needed.
Pickup included
Join us on the ski touring course on the vast slopes of the breathtaking snow whiteness. You will be able to discover the Julian Alps, the Karawanks and the Kamnik - Savinja Alps easily and with pleasure, and the European mountains will become more accessible to you. During the ski touring course you will learn the basics of safe movement in the mountains on skis, consequently you will be able to enjoy skiing and go to the hidden corners of our mountains carefree. CONTENTS: - Ski touring equipment - Avalanche safety equipment - Technique and tactics of the ascent and descent - Danger in the mountains in winter - Cross section of snow cover and types of snow base - Stability test of the snow cover - Proper procedures in case of the accident-searching with avalanche beacons, probing and Mountain rescue service - Situational rescue exercises from avalanches - Tour adjusted to the group’s knowledge LOCATIONS: - Mojstrana, Slovenia. Peaks and passes in the vicinity of the Julian Alps and Karawanks. - Astental, Austria. Summits above the Astental valley in the High Tauern. - Maltaberg, Austria. Peaks above the Maltaberg hamlet, in the valley of Maltatal.
