At the northern end of Praia Grande, you will find one of the largest saltwater pools in Europe, measuring around 100 meters in length, at the Hotel Arribas. Observe the traces of the presence of dinosaurs that can be found on the southern cliff of the beach, in a deposit of 11 traces of footprints. Praia das Maçãs is the most urbanized in the municipality of Sintra. The bathing area has several restaurants, cafes, bars, shops and a saltwater pool. Azenhas do Mar beach is located in a picturesque valley with a series of ancient pools carved into the rock. It is very popular mainly for its natural pools.
