This self-guided ride begins with a prompt shuttle bus to Arrowtown, where you’ll be fitted with a bike and given all the details for your ride.
The ride follows the stunning Arrow River Trail, crossing the river via a few spectacular bridges. You'll then join the Twin Rivers Trail, which winds alongside the Kawarau and Shotover rivers, with some challenging climbs along the way. The route finishes at Around The Basin's shop in central Queenstown (3 Searle Lane).
With 36 km of hilly terrain, this ride will take around 3.5 to 4 hours. We recommend an electric bike to make the journey more comfortable and enjoyable, helping you tackle the climbs with ease while you take in the beautiful scenery.

Head out on a scenic 25 minute shuttle with us to Arrowtown. There's the opportunity to grab a coffee and explore the historic town.
The bike ride starts by following the Arrow River Trail downstream to the Morven Ferry, crossing the river via a few spectacular bridges.
The ride then joins the Twin Rivers Trail, which follows the Kawarau and Shotover rivers to the shores of Lake Whakatipu. Expect to see amazing alpine views of The Remarkables mountain range as you climb and descend throughout this section.

• Comfortable, athletic clothing is recommended • Sturdy shoes are recommended • Lightweight waterproof jacket and gloves are recommended in winter • Bring a backpack to carry spare gear and food • Please be on time for check-in to avoid missing the shuttle • Helmets (provided) must be worn at all times while biking
