Enjoy a 3 hour tour from Anchorage to the Whittier Cruise Terminal. Traveling on the scenic Seward Highway and through the stunning Portage Pass. Your driver will guide you through the history of the Turnagain Arm, Portage Pass, and Whittier. From the Indigenous people who first lived there, English exploration of the area, to the discovery of gold, and how the Strange town of Whittier got it's start.
This tour includes a stop at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. The nonprofit center that is dedicated to preservation, education, research, and animal care. The center takes in injured and orphaned animals to rehabilitate and provide permanent homes at the center.
The tour ends at the Whittier Cruise Terminal for you to board your cruise ship.

12:00 Anchorage Airport - Baggage Claim level outside door #1 in the courtyard by the large red semicircles.
Pickup Time: We begin pickups downtown at 11:00am, followed by the airport at 11:30am, so that we can ensure the tour begins at noon.

AWCC encourages you to visit the center with your walking shoes and camera in hand for an educational Alaskan experience to remember. The sanctuary maintains over 200 acres of spacious habitats for resident animals to feel at home displaying their natural wild behavior as education ambassadors for their species. It is common for visitors to see brown bears swimming, moose strutting, wood bison roaming, muskox playing, wolves posing, porcupines climbing, and more!
