Come tour this Music Mecca with a 6th generation New Orleanian. We will tour the French Quarter, Treme and Marigny neighborhoods talking music history and listening to local street performers and bands on Frenchmen Street and keeping our eyes and ears peeled for a second line!
We will tour all around the French Quarter from the River to Jackson Square, to Royal and Bourbon Streets visiting music and cultural hotspots along the way.
Armstrong Park stopping at music icon statues and monuments and talking African American history roots starting here in the city from spirituals, slavery, west African Voodoo drumming circles, Jazz, Gospel and the Blues.
Frenchmen street with local live music starting around 6 pm from Brass bands, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Folk and much more. There may be an admission price.
