Day 1 Lhasa (-/-/-) Arrive at Lhasa and meet your tour guide at train station or airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at hotel in Lhasa. Day 2 Lhasa (-/L/-) In the morning visit Potala Palace , which was originally constructed in 637 by Songtsen Gampo, the first king of the united Tibet, and later expanded and served as the winter residence of the Dalai Lama's. In the afternoon visit Jokhang temple, the center of the Tibetan Buddhism and the sacred land of Buddhist followers where innumerable pilgrims come for worship everyday. The Jokhang temple was built in 647, is the earliest wood-and-masonry structure still existing in Tibet. Surrounding the Jokhang Temple is the Barkhor Bazza, there you can find many kinds of local products. Overnight at hotel in Lhasa Day 3 Lhasa (-/L/-) In the morning visit Drepung monastery, the biggest monastery in Tibet which was created in 1416 and the second, third and fourth Dalai Lama had resided in. In the afternoon visit Sera monastery, which was created in 1419 and has always been an important Buddhist seminary. As rose are planted everywhere in the monastery, it is also called "the court of wild rose". Today still 200 lamas live in there. You may enjoy the exciting scripture debating there. Overnight at hotel in Lhasa Day 4 Lhasa--GyantseShigatse--Lhasa (-/L/-) Yamdrok lake is one of the three most sacred lakes in Tibet. palkhor monastery is the main attractions of Gyantse town. Overnight at hotel in Lhasa Day 5 Lhasa--Shigatse-Lhasa (-/L/-) Shigatse is the second largest city of Tibet, the Tashilumpo monastery is one of the biggest monastery in Tibet, the residence of Panchen Lama.
