(Subject to Option Inclusions)We climb the highest point of the Wechsel in the direct ascent, passing through coniferous forests, roaming over alpine mats and following the course of a torrent. If the weather plays with, we can expect a sweeping view! The Wechsel is one of the easternmost mountain ranges of the Alps and is twice as high as the highest peaks of the Vienna Woods. It forms the border between Lower Austria and Styria, between the Joglland and the Bucklige Welt. The mountain is not demanding and therefore well frequented, but it is famous for its weather capers. We choose a classic upgrade variant starting from Mariensee. Rock formations in the high forest, waterfalls and a colourful alpine landscape accompany us on the way.

- The use of mountain boots is strongly recommended
- In winter time sometimes additional equipment (snow chains, snowshoes) is needed. We will inform you accordingly!
- You have to be free from vertigo and safe over steep terrain (sure footedness)
- Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not possible for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair

Meeting / End Points
- We will meet us outside of the central station Wien Hauptbahnhof in Vienna. Use the southern exit, I will wait at the little parking space next to the taxi station, Aiport bus and the Hop-On-Busses. On the other street side, you will find a police station.
