Day 1: Hida Takayama, Shirakawa-go In Hida Takayama, you can visit many historical sites such as the Takayama Jinya, the only magistrate's residence in Japan that still retains its original architecture. In addition, you can enjoy local delicacies such as branded beef "Hida beef", Takayama ramen, Hida soba, soy sauce dango, and cute ice cream in the shape of folk craft "Sarubobo". Shirakawa-go is characterized by its Gassho-style buildings with steep roofs, which were built to cope with the heavy snowfall.
Day 2: Kanazawa In Kanazawa, we recommend visiting Kanazawa Castle Park, the core of the castle town of Kaga Hyakumangoku. The Gyokusen-in Maru Garden is the favorite garden of the lord of Kaga Domain. It perfectly reproduces the style of the Edo period, and the stone wall landscape combined with the waterfall is amazing. For those who want to experience modern art, the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, is a must-see. Its unique architecture and exhibitions are very attractive. Kanazawa is just as exciting at night. You can experience Kanazawa's nightlife at the bars in Chaya Street or at local izakayas to end your first day with a bang
