Wood carving in Nepal has a rich tradition, deeply rooted in the country's culture and artistic heritage. The craft is practiced extensively in various regions, particularly in the Kathmandu Valley, where skilled artisans create intricate and detailed wooden sculptures, panels, and furniture. The duration of the workshop is between 2hour-2.5 hours. Reaching to the workshop, we will learn about the Host and History of the wood carving. After the small introduction, we get a small wooden piece and start carving. On one side we will learn about the simple patterns and designs as rough paper and practice. Once it is done we will switch to the other side making your own designs and followed with traditional pattern and design, coloring and shining it.
