Hakone Shrine / Kuzuryu Shrine Singu
Hakone Shrine was founded in 757 by the monk Makimaki on the sacred Mount Hakone, known for its strong association with mountain worship. It has been revered by samurai such as Minamoto no Yoritomo and Tokugawa Ieyasu. The shrine is famous for its spiritual powers in areas such as traffic safety, wish fulfillment, love success, and fortune protection.
Hakone Ropeway
he Hakone Ropeway offers breathtaking views, especially near Owakudani, where you can catch sight of Mount Fuji. The ride from Togendai Station to Owakudani is particularly scenic, showcasing the volcanic landscape and Ashi Lake.
Owaku-dani Valley
Owakudani, located at the southeastern foot of Mount Fuji, is a volcanic hot spring valley formed after a massive eruption around 4,000 years ago. The area is known for its sulfuric fumes and black eggs, which are boiled in the hot springs and are believed to prolong life by seven years.
