Cape Spartel territory is characterized by an extraordinary cultural and natural heritage and extremely diversified which gives access to the visitors to a multitude of landscape.
Hercules wineries: The oldest cave in Africa (back to 2500 BC), where Hercules is said to have lived. The Caves of Hercules is an archaeological cave complex located in Cape Spartel, Morocco. The cave has two openings, one to sea and one to land. The sea is known as "The Map of Africa". It is believed that the Phoenicians created the sea in the shape of Africa when looked at from the sea. There are some markings on the wall in the shape of eyes, which are said to be made by the Phoenicians, which make up a map of the local area.
