Sugarloaf Mountain Climbing Trail

One of the most fantastic climbs in Rio is the Costão do Pão de Açúcar. No prior knowledge of mountaineering is required, just reasonable physical conditioning and a lot of willingness to face the long ascent and climbing sections. The ascent is made partly on a trail, partly in easy climbs over rocky shores, with a short stretch of more vertical climbing, of about 20 meters, where all the necessary safety equipment will be used: ropes, chairs and a helmet. Don't worry, our guides know the place like the back of their hand and will help you on this adventure. The entire activity, between climbing and descent, lasts an average of 4 hours depending on the size of the group. The start should be between 1 pm and 2 pm and we follow trails, rocky shores and short climbing sections, passing by the famous Pedra Filosofal at 350m high. All without rush so you have time to enjoy everything! After reaching the summit and a well-deserved rest, the descent is partly by cable car (free of charge) and partly by trail.
