Featured on "Parts Unknown with Anthony Bourdain," this is a local Korean BBQ stop that specializes in a unique specialty, Mapo-style Galmegisal. It's pork skirt steak grilled over charcoals with a moat of egg surrounding it.
We load up on savory Korean pancakes and sit down at the market pub for a crash course in Korean alcohol.

- Pork "Galmegisal," which is a delicacy, and thick-cut pork belly cooked over charcoal. Egg ring around the grill and side dishes. Neighborhood specialty.

Just head to the subway station and gate 7. • Please don't rely on taxis (read below) • Minimum drinking age is 19 years **WE DON'T RECOMMEND USING A TAXI** Every time a guest has been late or has missed a booking has been because of using a taxi. Taxis almost always get stuck in traffic. These days, there's a taxi driver shortage, so they're unreliable. Seoul has one of the easiest, cleanest, and safest subway systems in the world. Much better than taxis. Your host will be a native Korean or a long-term resident with in-depth knowledge of local food culture. The experience will run in all weather conditions unless it's dangerous (i.e., typhoon, blizzard).
