Convento da Cartuxa
Located in the charming city of Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage site, this winery lies in the heart of Alentejo. Here, you will find experiences such as guided tours of the winery, gastronomic tastings, and samplings of some of the finest wines and regional products from Alentejo. The Cartuxa Winery at Quinta Valbom has undergone several renovations and expansions over the years, preserving its rich architectural and historical heritage. Today, the Cartuxa Winery is a key production site for the wines of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation. The name Cartuxa comes from the 16th-century Cartuxa Monastery, located next to the winery, which is part of the Foundation's heritage. Built in 2005, Herdade of Grous is the winery employs modern processes to ensure the exceptional quality of its wines, from the manual selection of grapes to the gentle maceration of each variety.
