The catacombs of St. Callixtus, one of the most significant burial sites in Rome, offer a glimpse into early Christian history and art, featuring intricate frescoes and an extensive network of tunnels. However, please be aware that if there are any last-minute closures, we may explore alternative catacombs to ensure a full and enriching experience.
Circo Massimo
Circus Maximus, the largest chariot racing venue in ancient Rome, measured 600 meters in length and could host up to 150,000 spectators, situated between the Palatine and Aventine hills. Originally constructed in the 6th century BC, it was expanded and rebuilt by various emperors following significant fires; however, today, little remains of this once-grand stadium beyond a large field where its shape is still detectable and some small ruins.
