Enjoy stand up Paddle boarding in Iceland's wild and forgotten Fjord, Hvalfjordur. Come paddle out on the open Atlantic Ocean and take in the serenity and peacefulness of the Fjord while you listen to the soft sounds of the Icelandic nature. Hvalfjordur is a great place to spot wildlife including eagles and seals, and if you are truly lucky - a whale might even make an appearance. No prior SUP experience is needed for this 2-3 hour guided experience, and all the gear that you need is provided. This tour is for private groups from 1 to 12 participants.
We will meet at the historic Hvalfjordur fjord - en route you will pass some noticeable interests along the way and drive through the beautiful countryside. The road we take is the old road that people would take when heading north but now there is a tunnel underneath the fjord - causing much less traffic and a tranquil environment just a short drive from Reykjavik. When you arrive your guide will have prepared the equipment for you and go through any safety procedures necessary. Then a short introduction to SUP for any of those a bit rusty or if it's your first time. You'll be on the water with your guide for more or less 2 hours but this is weather dependent and peoples fitness levels. Ultimately reaching land and then carry on your way - weather you are heading for the ring road - hike up Glymur - Hvammsvík Nature Baths or simply back to Reykjavik.
You will make your own way to the meeting points
