At 7 am your private English speaking guide will meet you at your hotel. By private van with driver you'll drive out of Bangkok to the famous Maeklong Railway market to see the train pass by (if trainschedule is on time). You'll see the hectic movement of sellers gathering their produce and once the train has passed, return to normal in just a few seconds. You'll see the local people selling fresh vegetables, local seafood and people enjoying their streetfood breakfast.
Then continue to visit an old style Thai residence and a local (coconut) palm sugar making factory to see the traditional way of making palm sugar. Hop on a boat and enjoy the countryside to end at the famous floating market of Damnoen Saduak. Here you'll have some free time to stroll around and taste some local fruits, snacks etc. There are plenty of fun souvenirs here to bring back home but don't forget to try a cool and refreshing young coconut drink.
Before your return to Bangkok we'll make a short stop at the Wat Bang Kung temple. It's locally known for its roots and branches of a banyan tree covering this temple. This temple can be seen as the little sibling of the Tha Phrom temple at Angkor Wat.
