Itinerary

Ragusa Ibla

Ragusa Ibla is the ancient historical center of the city of Ragusa. It is famous throughout the world for its more than fifty churches and numerous palaces, evidence of the highest expression of the Baroque in Sicily. Located on a hill, the small village of Ibla dominates the surrounding valley, with its small houses and narrow streets dominated by the majestic Cathedral of San Giorgio, the maximum expression of the Iblean Baroque. Ragusa ibla has become in recent years one of the most important tourist attractions in Sicily. In 2002 the city was included among the Baroque UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Val di Noto. The city has become famous over the years thanks to the television series "Il Commissario Montalbano". 2 hours to visit, the rest of the time and for the ferry to Ragusa.

Modica

Baroque city of the Val di Noto, Modica is located in the southeast of Sicily and has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Cities since 2002. It is a city of Neolithic origin, capital of an ancient and powerful county, which boasts a rich repertoire of gastronomic specialties, as well as a great artistic and cultural heritage. Today it is known above all for the production of the typical Aztec-derived chocolate. The historic center of the city, completely rebuilt following the earthquake of 1693, is divided into two large districts: Modica Alta and Modica Bassa. Today, walking through the streets of Modica means taking a journey steeped in history among late Baroque palaces, churches with majestic steps and great masterpieces.

Scicli

Along the streets of the historic center of Scicli, splendid churches in golden stone and sumptuous palaces follow one another, as in an eighteenth-century fairy tale. Through panoramic ups and downs you can see the sea in the distance and the light stone creates fascinating plays of light with the sun, in which beauty, amazement and harmony chase each other spectacularly. Here are also some of the most important museums of the Ibleo area and some of the wonderful locations of the TV series of Inspector Montalbano. 1 hour for the visit, the rest of the time and for the return.
