After gathering at the meeting point, we'll set off on a 10-minute walk toward the famous Kuromon Market. This market is a must-visit spot for food lovers in Osaka. Known as “Osaka’s Kitchen,” the market is lined with stalls selling fresh seafood, produce, and a variety of traditional street foods. It's a vibrant, bustling area that perfectly represents Osaka’s lively food scene.
Our first food stop will be Wanaka, a renowned takoyaki stall in Kuromon Market. Takoyaki are crispy, savory dough balls filled with octopus and topped with a variety of delicious sauces and bonito flakes. You’ll get to sample 8 pieces for 650 yen (a perfect size for sharing among 3 people). The stall is known for its high-quality takoyaki, and this is a great opportunity to taste one of Osaka’s signature dishes.
Next, we’ll visit Mitoya, a shop specializing in dango — sweet rice dumplings served on skewers. The dango are traditionally served in three colors, symbolizing different aspects of Japanese culture. These colorful dumplings are a perfect treat, and you’ll be able to enjoy them for just 150 yen per person. It’s a light and sweet stop on our journey through Osaka’s culinary delights.
