Join us for an interactive okonomiyaki cooking class led by Aiko-sensei in a traditional Japanese house with stunning views of Kobe and the whole Kansai region. You’ll use seasonal ingredients and learn the ingredient preparation, cooking, and presentation. We welcome vegetarians and can accommodate dietary restrictions with prior notice as well.

After our walking tour through the neighborhood to pick up the ingredients, we will arrive at our event space, AIKOYA. Roll up your sleeves and dive into the preparation process. Aiko-sensei will guide you through selecting and preparing fresh ingredients, including cabbage, proteins, and unique toppings. You’ll learn about the importance of each ingredient and how they contribute to the dish's flavor. We will have hotplates for you to take charge of your cooking experience. Aiko-sensei will demonstrate the proper technique for mixing the batter and layering the ingredients, ensuring you feel confident in your cooking skills. Throughout the cooking process, Aiko-sensei will be there to provide personalized guidance and tips. Once your okonomiyaki is cooked to perfection, it’s time to savor your creation! You’ll enjoy the fruits of your labor, tasting the delicious flavors you’ve crafted. To conclude your experience, you’ll be treated to a selection of traditional Japanese tea and dessert.
