Kaisendonya Shipping Agency Takita Family Residence

The Takita family was running one of Tokoname's shipping agencies, built a residence facing Ise Bay in 1850. You can enter a historically significant Japanese house. If you're lucky, you might be able to try on Japanese Happi jacket!

Togama Square Museum

You can see a kiln was built around 1920 and pottery gallery made by local artists. (You may be able to paint a lucky cat yourself and bring one home, if booking is open! Let me know if you're interested in booking this optional activity.)

Dokanzaka

Dokanzaka hill path is a unique and historic walking path made from shattered pieces of pottery. The Dokanzaka hill path and its surrounding area will be a great photo opportunity! This may also be a good time for us to stop for a short break at a nearby cafe.

  • We’re going to take Meitetsu line to Tokoname station (35 minutes by train). It takes about 5-10 minutes walk from the Shinkansen exit to the Meitestu ticket gates at Nagoya station. Please let me know where you’re coming from, let’s meet somewhere easy for you!
