Hello and welcome to roam Killarney ! A new way to explore Killarney. we're going to go on an adventure in Killarney National Park and explore the forests, I’ll tell you all about the history of Killarney town and show you the trees, wildflowers, and animals that live there. I'll point out the plants that have been used in herbal medicine for generations, as well as the poisonous ones we should avoid. And while we're sitting on the grass, overlooking the lakes and mountains of Killarney, I'll share some local myths and legends with you. This nature walk will bring out your inner child as we explore the woods and rivers, use magnifying glasses to look closer at nature around us . We'll learn about Celtic traditions and even perform old pagan rituals. I hope to see you there!

Killarney Cathedral was founded in the 1840s, just before the Irish Famine. It became a hospital during the Great Famine and resumed its function in 1852, being consecrated in 1855.
