This trail is one of the most famous in Rio de Janeiro. Visitors have the privilege of hiking through the forest, stopping for stunning photos, and also walking through the Vidigal community, learning about the daily lives of the residents. They also gain access to local culture with a local guide who has known each part of the community for over 15 years. The community is considered peaceful by local authorities. A patrol car is stationed 24 hours a day at the entrance, and there's a military base within the community, ensuring the safety of visitors.
Two Brothers Hill At the entrance to the community, we'll find easy access by taxi, Uber, or public transportation. We'll use community transportation—a motorcycle or van—that will drop us off at the trailhead. From there, we'll begin a 40-minute to an hour hike through the forest to reach the end of the trail, where we'll have privileged views of the beaches of the South and West Zones, Cristo Redentor, and the Rocinha community.
