Itinerary

In the morning guide and driver will pick up you from your accommodation place in Tbilisi and from there you'll start your journey. Travel will be by comfortable car on the road which connect middle and south part of Georgia (by countryside). Then head towards Javakheti, known as the south of the Georgian Medieval Kingdom, where castles and monasteries steel keep enormous cultural and historical legacy and wealth. from Tbilisi to first landmark will take 90 minutes drive

Tsalka

Driving to and after Tsalka (Khrami) Reservoir will take 60 minutes. From your car will rise up sceneries with mountains peaks 2700 to 3300 mt altitude, also you will see lakes, like Tsalka (Khrami) Reservoir, which was build to purpose was to obtain electricity. Around lake is couple villagies with multi diversity nationalities groups, Georgians (Javakh's and Svan's) also, Azerbaijanian's, Armenian's and Greek's, also there is a village nearby called Trialeti which was founded by German colonists it in 1858. It was called Alexanderhilf (renamed to Rosenberg in Soviet times). There were other German settlements like this in Georgia and Azerbaijan numbering 12 thousand inhabitants by 1914.

Tsalka and near villagues now calls also as a Greek ghost town in Georgia. The ancestors of today’s Greek community in Tsalka and nearby came from the Kars region in Turkey, settling here in 1828-29.
