This place is fantastic. Every time we visit, we fall more in love with it. The people of Puerto Badel are always so welcoming. On each visit, we learn and experience something new.
We admire this wonderful community and are amazed by the natural beauty of our surroundings as we travel up and down this waterway, the Canal Del Dique. We often stop by local farms to buy fresh fruits—plantains, mangoes, coconuts, and occasionally, oysters.
Every tour is very different. Depending on your interest we are happy to adjust the length of each stop on the trip. When you are happy, we are happy. Ultimately, it is our goal to show you a side of Colombia that you have not yet seen.

Isla Tierra Bomba
Our first stop is at our place on Tierra Bomba Island. Here we will load the boat with cold drinks and snacks. Restrooms are available. We have a swimming pool and sauna you can use when we return from the trip. We will then cross the bay and enter Canal Del Dique. Along the way, we will stop in a community called Puerto Badel. Its a great place to go for a swim. Occasionally, we have had the opportunity to observe turtles, monkeys, and other wildlife. We visit a local farm further down the river, where you can purchase fresh fruit, rice, and other products. It's a great way to support these communities. We learn things such as how homes are constructed and how farmers process rice. We will have lunch at a local restaurant. We also visit the picturesque Bay of Baru. Our hosts will tailor the trip according to what you are interested in experiencing. Every trip is different and unique. Everyone who has joined us has fallen in love with this tour.

We pass through this area by boat. If you are interested the river during times of calm has crystal clear water and there are opportunities to go for a swim.
