Seti I reigned approximately 3,300 years ago, shortly after Tutankhamun. He was the second pharaoh of Egypt’s Nineteenth Dynasty during the New Kingdom period and the father of Ramses II, also known as Ramses the Great.
After a reign of approximately 11 to 15 years, Seti I’s temple was still under construction at the time of his death. His son, Ramses II, completed the temple in honor of his father.
Dorothy Louise Eady, also known as Omm Sety, served as the keeper of the Temple of Seti I in Abydos until her death in 1981.

You will be picked up by your English-speaking tour guide and will drive past picturesque villages to Abydos to visit the Great Temple of Seti I. On the road Luxor-Abydos-Luxor, you will drive through picturesque villages and partly through the desert. All in all an interesting journey through everyday Egypt.
Temple Of Seti I
This unique L-shaped, limestone temple has beautiful decorations and has the famous Kings List and some of the most beautiful wall decorations. In the garden, at the back of the temple, is the mythological tomb of Osiris. At the end of the tour, you will be brought back to your hotel in Luxor.
