Kunstlicher Hafen

The first stage of the day will take you to the remains of the artificial port of Arromanches. This formed one of the two ports set up by the Allies from the early days of Operation Overlord to supply the men and equipment of the divisions that landed on 6 June 1944.

Batterie Allemande de Longues-Sure-Mer

This second stop will give you the opportunity to discover this coastal battery of the Atlantic Wall, one of the best preserved of the Normandy coastline. You will thus understand the role it played in the D-Day landings of June 6, 1944.

Port-en-Bessin-Huppain

From the quays of Port-en-Bessin, your guide will introduce you to the importance of this town, in 1944, for the Allied armies with the establishment of Operation PLUTO, which made it possible to provide part of the fuel needed for the landed divisions. You will also discover some secrets of the shooting of the movie "The Longest Day".
