The best way to see the spectacular rock formations, ancient vineyards and abundant orchards of Cappadocia is from the saddle of an Anatolian horse! The ancient Persian was named Cappadocia, “Katpatuka”, means “Land of Beautiful Horses” and for thousands of years the many settlers of this region have explored the remote valleys and canyons on horseback.
Horseback is really nice activity in Cappadocia. You can ride horse through the valleys, looking at all the interesting rock formations and gardens/vineyards/orchards on horseback – much easier than walking. The horses are in pretty good condition.
