This tour is unique because our clients will not only have the opportunity to hike along a unique natural paradise in Latin America called “Paramo”, but they will also learn about the importance of the water function that this ecosystem performs for Colombian territory and because it is vitally important the conservation and preservation of its fauna and flora, such as the friilejón, flagship plant of this habitation that allows present and future generations to have access to water. Likewise this experience is unique because it supports the economy of a local family that welcomes us at home and accompany us during the tour.
Our participants will have the opportunity to get to know the south of Bogota, in a 2 hour journey towards the start of the walk. But first we'll have a rich breakfast to build strength. The tour we will take on the Sumapaz to the top of the highest mountain lasts 3 hours round trip. Where the sacred gaps that this ecosystem has created will be appreciated. You will also see during the walk different endemic plants, animals of these territories, and you will also hear about stories, myths and legends, and enjoy a quiet environment to relax the mind and spirit. Before returning we will provide our participants with a delicious snack.
