E-biking offers a 'better than easy' way to experience nature. There are so many interesting things to stop and see that actual riding time is less than two hours: Participants can expect to see some of the dozen varieties of animal species including giraffes, ostriches, zebra, and several varieties of buck.
The ride begins at Groenkloof Nature Reserve (30 to 40 minutes drive from Sandton) with setting up the bike for the height of the person and explaining how the gears work and how they can increase the power to the pedal-assist if needed. E-bikers then have time to practice and get comfortable on the bicycle before moving out on the adventure. e-Bikes effectively make the world flat and are exhilarating to drive uphill. They eat up the steeper hills with minimal effort (depending on your level of fitness). The views make everything worth it! Our guide and support staff are with you every step of the way, offering well-timed view stops and water breaks. This e-biking experience takes us off the well-surfaced roads and onto the gravel 'jeep' tracks. This is where the real adventure begins. Participants can expect to see some of the dozen varieties of animal species including giraffes, ostriches, zebra, and several varieties of buck. The guide will share interesting things about the birds, the history (including the iron age caves), and the warring tribes and settlers who made this paradise, with its abundant water from underground springs, their home.
