Enjoy a great informative excursion with no rush to The Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, which dates back to the time of Chephren and visit to the Valley Temple. Next, you will make a stop to visit Djoser Step Pyramid in Sakkara. It is considered the oldest pyramid ever built and the first man made stone building all over! It was built as a burial ground during the old kingdom as a development from the normal standard mastabas for nobles. The step pyramid in Sakkara has been designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
It's a limestone statue with the body of a lion and the head of a human showing the pharaoh's power and him guarding his own area. It measures 73 m (240 ft) long from paw to tail, 20 m (66 ft) high from the base to the top of the head and 19 m (62 ft) wide at its rear haunches and it dates back to the Old Kingsdom time of king Chephren
