The Lotus Temple is a Baha’i temple. This splendid white, lotus shaped temple is the last of seven major Baha’i temples in the world. The temple is made of pure marble. The lotus shape of the temple was chosen by the architect because it is a symbol common to some of the major religions of India, namely Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Islam. Around the petals of the temple are nine pools of water that look spectacular in the natural light.
Located in South Delhi the Chhatarpur Temple complex is spread over an area of approximately 60 acres. This complex is the second largest temple complex in India.
