Gallipoli Peninsula is located on north-western Turkey, near to Istanbul about 4 hours driving distance by car. The Gallipoli Peninsula is the site of extensive First World War battlefields and memorials on the north bank of the Dardanelles Strait. It is a commemorative site for the Allied (British Empire, France) and Turkish forces who fought, died, and were wounded there. Today there are many memorials for Turkish and ANZAC soldiers who lost their lives there. We will also take the ferry to Çanakkale city center to visit the iconic Trojan Horse prop used in the famous movie Troy.
