Aswan High Dam
Start your day with a visit to the Aswan High Dam, one of Egypt's most impressive engineering feats. It was constructed in the 1960s to control flooding, generate hydroelectric power, and provide water for irrigation.
New Kalabsha
take a short boat ride to Kalabsha Temple, located on the shores of Lake Nasser. The temple was originally built during the Roman period and was relocated here during the construction of the High Dam to avoid submersion.
Temple of Philae
In the late afternoon, take a boat ride to Philae Temple. This temple complex was dedicated to the goddess Isis and was also relocated due to the flooding caused by the High Dam. Duration: 1.5 hours Highlights: The stunning location on an island in Lake Nasser, intricate reliefs, and the sanctuary dedicated to Isis.
