Itinerary

We begin riding out from Tirana’s Old Bazaar, one of the city’s most popular daytime attractions. This lively area, known for its traditional market, local cafes, and street art, is flat and easy to cycle — perfect for starting our cycling tour.

Skanderbeg Square

Our adventure begins at the vibrant heart of Tirana, Skanderbeg Square. This central plaza, spanning 40,000 square meters, is surrounded by iconic landmarks like the National History Museum, Opera House, and National Bank. The square is named after Albania’s national hero, Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg, and features his impressive 11-meter-tall statue. The square’s eclectic mix of architecture showcases Tirana’s diverse history, from Ottoman-era structures to Fascist and Communist influences, creating a fascinating backdrop for our exploration.

Clock Tower

You won't believe that this was Tirana's tallest building until 1970! The Clock Tower has been a city landmark and a symbol of Tirana’s development. Right next to it, we have the statue of Skanderbeg, and we'll talk a little more about his remarkable history.
