Itinerary

Whaling Wall

Travelers will be able to see the Whaling Wall, a huge mural depicting Alaskan marine wildlife, and will learn interesting facts about the mural. This is just one of the many art stops along the tour route. This is also the spot where we stop for coffee.

Anchorage Museum

The tour will pass along the south side of the Anchorage Museum, touring several works of public art that are there. These include an abstract sculpture, tile mosaic, and a graffiti style mural. No museum entrance or admission provided.

Tony Knowles Coastal Trail

After seeing many works of public art in downtown, the tour makes it's way down to the Coastal Trail bike path. From there, you can see stunning views of Cook Inlet, Lake Clark National Park, Sleeping Lady Mountain, and even Denali (on a clear day).

Meeting / End Points

  • Meeting place is at the EAST END of Tudor Elementary property. Meet at the PARKING LOT EXIT. This is on the side of the school adjacent to an open field. Meet by the stop sign. Guide will have a yellow Hi-vis vest and clipboard. Starting August 12, please park on Cache Dr, NOT in the parking lot.
