Explore Bordeaux and the unique UNESCO World Heritage site, Saint-Emilion—and get a taste of their wine on this wine tasting class and tour! Saint-Emilion is a small medieval French town with fewer than 2,000 residents. It's known as a wine appellation covering 10 square miles, and is famous for its robust red wines. On this tour, you'll enjoy a welcoming glass of wine in Bordeaux, and learn how to distinguish color, aroma, taste, and more. Taste 4 wines from the 4 main wine regions as well, and learn the concepts of "terroir" and "appelation". Attend a blending workshop before indulging in wine again with traditional French delicacies, which include fresh bread and cheese. Then leave Bordeaux and head all the way to the stunning town of Saint-Emilion. You'll listen to the guide relay all the information you need to know about the Bordeaux & Saint-Emilion wine regions. Visit two wineries—one is an authentic and charming family-run estate, and the other a Great Classified Growth estate, before touring around the village. If you want to roam around the streets of the UNESCO World Heritage site while spending the day sipping French reds and whites, then this tour is for you!
