Wat Yai Chai Mongkol
10.00 am Begin with a pickup from your hotel in Bangkok and head to Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your first stop is Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, a monastery built during the reign of King U-Thong. Admire its large pagoda, built by King Naresuan the Great to celebrate his victory in single-handed combat on elephant back. (Total time included travelling from Bangkok to Ayutthaya)
Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Lokayasutharam)
Next, witness the tranquil beauty of Wat Lokayasutharam, home to Ayutthaya’s largest reclining Buddha. Stretching 42 meters long and 8 meters high, this open-air marvel embodies the serene grace of Buddhist devotion and offers a moment of quiet reflection.
Continue to Wat Phra Si Sanphet, once part of the ancient royal palace complex and considered the spiritual center of the former capital. Its three majestic stupas, inspired by Ceylonese design, are among the most iconic images of Ayutthaya’s architectural heritage.
