Magdalena Jalisco is part of the tequila route, the world capital of opalos and is considered the epicenter of pre-Hispanic cuisine in Jalisco, we will visit a 100-year-old restaurant kitchen, an obsidian deposit and pre-Hispanic workshop, obsidian and opalo shop, the main square and the interpretative center of Magdalena where we will know the importance of obsidian, opalo and pre-Hispanic tombs. Finally we will take a look at the extinct lagoon of Magdalena where we will see some fossil chinampas.
The archaeological zone Guachimontones was the epicenter of the ancient civilization that inhabits the valleys of Tequila and shelters a set of round, conical and stepped pyramids, considered as unique for their pattern of concentric circles. Come and discover one of the oldest civilizations in Mesoamerica and discover why they chose the valleys of Tequila as their capital.
