Archaeological Site of Pompeii

Departure from the established location, transfer to Pompeii takes about 45 minutes. The site of Pompeii, in 2016, exceeded three million visitors, to be precise 3 209 089 resulting in the third most visited state museum site in Italy after the Pantheon and the archaeological circuit of the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. In 1997, to preserve its integrity, the ruins, managed by the Superintendency Pompeii, together with those of Herculaneum and Oplontis, became part of the UNESCO World Heritage List.
