The Mutianyu Great Wall is one of the best-preserved and best-known Great Wall sections. This area has dense woods with beautiful landscape all year around. It enjoys a reputation of "Mutianyu surpassing others of the Great Wall and is the best scenic spot". Upon arrival, you can either take the cable car up to tower 14 and hike on the Wall, then take the cable car down. Or take the chairlift up to tower 6 and take the toboggan to slid down after enjoying your hiking on the Wall.
After enjoying a tasty local lunch, drive about 30 minutes to Hongluo Temple, which is located at the foot of the Hongluo mountain 7 km northwest of Huairou District, Beijing. As the biggest Temple in the northern area of Beijing, it was originally constructed in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317 - 420) and expanded in the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907).
