Our shuttle service (van up to 8 seats and adapted for transporting people with reduced mobility OR car up to 4 seats) allows you to visit the main points of Faial island: Almoxarife Beach, Caldeira Nature Reserve and Capelinhos Volcano, departing at 09:30am and 2:30pm and arriving at 12:45pm and 5:45pm at the Horta Maritime/Ferry Terminal (pick-up & drop-off point) - approximate duration 3h15m.

Praia do Almoxarife
After leaving the Maritime Terminal, we head towards Praia do Almoxarife where, in addition to the dark, volcanic-looking sand, we can see a military structure from World War II (10-minute stop).
Caldeira
This protected area, located in Cedros parish and with 313 hectares, encompasses the entire Caldeira do Faial (caldera), located at the top of the island's central volcano, a volcanic edifice with about 400 thousand years. It constitutes a collapse caldera, with about 2 kilometers in diameter, and is the youngest caldera of the Azores (about 1000 years old). It houses, in its interior, two-thirds of the endemic vascular flora of the Azores, in a perfect state of conservation, as well as endemic fauna of Faial and the Archipelago.
Capelinhos
After the visit to the Caldeira Nature Reserve, we cut through the interior of the island towards the volcanic landscape of Capelinhos: on one side the characteristic green of Azorean landscapes and on the other the brown and grey of lunar landscapes (30-minute stop). The journey continues along the coast towards the city of Horta.
