Starting and finishing in Christchurch, this excursion is a genuinely scenic experience. The tour takes you to the historic Sign of Takahe, where you can take beautiful photos. After enjoying a snack at the Sign of the Bellbird Scenic Reserve, you'll explore Governors Bay Jetty and the charming port town of Lyttelton. The tour continues with a stop at Evans Pass lookout for stunning views of Lyttelton Harbour and a glimpse into the port’s role in New Zealand’s trade and Antarctic exploration. The final stop is Sumner Beach, where you can unwind and explore the village before being dropped off back in the city center.

The Sign of the Takahe is a historic rest house that survived the 2010-2011 earthquakes but required extensive restorations to preserve its integrity and charm. This building represents a vital piece of history and where you can enjoy scenic views. A 15-minute drive up Dyers Pass Road along Summit Road brings us to the next location.
We will stop at another historic stone rest house, the Sign of the Bellbird, for a snack. Here, you'll enjoy the breathtaking views of the Canterbury Plains and Lyttelton Harbour. A 15-minute drive brings us to the next location.
The Governors Bay Jetty offers a peaceful spot to enjoy beautiful views of the bay and surrounding hills. It’s a perfect place to relax and appreciate the natural beauty of the area. A 15-minute drive following the coast takes us to our next destination.

- The cruise ship shuttle will stop in Lyttelton at the Norwich Quay bus stop (opposite Independent Provedoring Co, no 20 Norwich Quay) before heading into Christchurch. You will be collected at Norwich Quay bus stop by a white branded car or minivan and your guide will be wearing a branded uniform.
