The fortified city, built by the Portuguese at the beginning of the 16th century and named Mazagan (Mazagão in Portuguese), was taken by the Moroccans in 1769. Its fortifications, with their bastions and ramparts, constitute an early example of the Portuguese military architecture of the Renaissance. You can walk around and imagine yourself going back in time
The fishing port of El Jadida is a must-see stop in the city. If you visit it in the early morning, you will have the chance to attend the spectacle of the fishermen returning to the port. You can stop for lunch with fresh fish
A stop at the Arab League park, opposite the resistance museum, is planned. For those curious about history, you can come and visit the museum. Then, a walk in the medina is planned. You can buy some souvenirs there
