It was my first time visiting the sleepy country town of Toowoomba. I woke up to a chilly 5 degree morning, wearing five layers and ventured into town. We ate breakfast and enjoyed a “good” coffee at a local favourite Ground Up Espresso before we began making our way around town, cameras in hand. Toowoomba is home to First Coat Festival, is a public arts project. Each year artists hit the town and paint it red, or whatever colour takes their fancy. Up close with Lauren Hom’s – don’t forget to stop and share the roses.
