Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral: An architectural wonder.
At Zipaquirá, 50 kilometers coming out from the north side of Bogotá, is the largest salt mine in Colombia. Although the mines date back to the time of the Muiscas, primitive inhabitants of the region, it has been intensively exploited, and they continue to have enormous reserves. In the heart of the mountain, an underground salt cathedral was dug, constituting a monumental work of engineering, architecture, and design. With a capacity of 10,000 people, it is the most visited tourist attraction in Colombia.

Catedral De Sal
After leaving Bogotá, travel to the salt cathedral of Zipaquirá and admire one of the most extraordinary achievements of Colombian architecture. The salt cathedral of Zipaquirá, built in the depths of the largest salt rock reserve in the world, is a mystical place where the pre-Columbian Muisca culture, the environment, and religious heritage are mixed together.
Plaza de la Independecia
Head to the colonial town of Zipaquirá to take a walk through the main square. Admire the historic buildings that are national monuments of Colombia. (Only at the ''Hosted Experience''option)
Plaza de los Comuneros
Founded in 1606 and still has a colonial appearance, especially in this, the main square, where Colombia's independence movement takes its first steps and some old buildings with wooden balconies are located as witnesses of the time. (Only at the ''Hosted Experience''option)
