This 3.5 hour tour (9.00am to 12.30) is an intimate and spiritual encounter that only few people (up to 5) will have the opportunity to embrace, its unique, private & exclusive. Embark on a journey of a lifetime and experience tangata whenua and the genuine hospitality and knowledge from your local Māori hosts.
A cultural experience that inspires, informs, and entertains as you learn to weave flax flowers and pronounce Māori words through song.
Your hosts, husband and wife Mervyn and Rangimarie, can’t wait to welcome you to their home in New Zealand’s most northern city, Whangārei. Come and immerse your mind, body and soul on your journey of discovery into our culturally significant sites of majestical waterfalls and beautiful flora & fauna that surround our ancestors, the Kauri.
We will end our time together with a shared lunch of our favourite kiwi kai - fresh locally cooked fish n chips, to cement our connection and time together.

You will receive your call of welcome as you begin your journey of discovery with us. A whakatau – an informal welcoming ceremony will commence and connect us for the start of our journey together
Whangarei Falls
Feel the connection and spirituality of this beautiful majestical waterfall we call Otuihau, one of six waterfalls in the district. Discover why this site and many others are so important to the indigenous people of Aotearoa New Zealand.
AH Reed Kauri Park
Be immersed in the realm of our beautiful native forest that will reveal some of our living ancestors, the magnificent Kauri Trees. You will be in awe of such greatness when you hear their history and the stories that connect us.
