At Welcome To Rome you will immerse yourself in the history of this wonderful city and have an exciting and engaging experience. Visiting Welcome To Rome means taking a journey through time and space.
An experience in which you will witness a multi-projection: walls and ceilings will come alive around you while on the ground a large model of the city will light up to show the evolution of Rome over the centuries. This immersive projection will tell you about 2700 years of the history of the Rome in 27 minutes, through the ages that have built the eternal city's identity. You will have the illusion of flying over the city through the centuries, moving within monuments, palaces, churches and squares.
To complete the visit you can view 4 large interactive models that will allow you to discover the history of some exceptional masterpieces: the Imperial Forum, the Augustus Forum, the Mausoleum of Adrian, and San Peter Basilica. The spectacular projections and the interactive models will give you a unique and exciting experience and allow you to discover first-hand the evolution of this extraordinary city.
The show takes place inside the ex Cinema Augustus, in Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, 203. The projection and interactive exhibits are accessible also to anyone with disabilities. It is possible to start the visit at any time during opening hours, since the show goes on continuously.
You will be accompanied by an audio guide available in 8 different languages: Italian, English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Chinese, and Japanese.
