The Vlădeasa Mountains are the northernmost of the three high central massifs of the Western Transylvanian (Apuseni) Mountains, which belong in the Southwestern Carpathians.
The main ridge of the Vlădeasa massif is about 50km long . The eastern ridge boasts the highest peak named Vf.Vlădeasa which tops out at 1836m. It is the third highest summit in the Apuseni Mountains.

This summit ranks as the third-highest point in the Apuseni Mountains. Embark on a memorable journey, commencing at 8 o'clock in the morning with a convenient pickup from your Cluj-Napoca accommodation. Our adventure spans 80 kilometers, leading us to the quaint Rogojel Village. Before our hike kicks off, we'll take a brief pause at the Sequoia tree. Here, amidst authentic wooden houses, the enduring traditions of Romanian culture are on display. The trek commences from Rogojel village, a 2-hour hike guiding us to the Vladeasa Chalet, where a delightful Romanian picnic awaits. Following the break, our exploration continues with a 2-hour ascent to Vladeasa Peak.
