In the cave Vjetrenica, which according to records from 1977 is about five million years old, there is a special life. What is recognized in the world is its animal world. It contains more than 200 different species of animals, many of which are endemic and were first found and recorded in Vjetrenica.

In the interior, the air flow is also felt, but also the strong wind which gave Vjetrenica cave a name (bs. Vjetar – Wind). Constant temperature in the cave is 11 degrees Celsius, so be prepared with warm clothes and shoes before going on this lovely trip and in 40-60 minutes discover everything that this cave offers You.

Vjetrenica Cave

Vjetrenica (wind cave) is the largest cave in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the most biodiverse cave in the world. It is part of the Dinaric Alps mountain range, which is known for its karstic and speleological features. The journey to Vjetrenica takes about 4 hours.
